Job Title: Sybase Developer

Main Duties
1. Develop and maintain ETL components that source business-critical data from golden-source providers into PrimeDB.
2. Develop and maintain real-time messaging and caching facilities for acquiring reference data for dataset enrichment in PrimeDB.
3. Develop and maintain a data services framework, Fusion, that publishes data to transactional consumers of Prime custody data.
4. Work with architecture teams and data modelers to design the future-state data platform to meet current and future business objectives.
Requirements:
The Sybase Developer must have:
1. 8 years hands-on experience developing mission-critical Database and ETL applications.
2. In-depth knowledge of Sybase SQL and Store procedure programming language.
3. Strong understanding of best practices in writing scalable Sybase applications handling high volumes of data.
4. Proficiency in SQL and stored procedure tuning.
5. Experience with scripting languages(unix shell/perl)
6. Working knowledge of Securities Industry and Prime Services is desired.
7. Knowledge of Industry standard Data, ETL tools like Informatica, Composite is desired.
8. Knowledge of Business Objects Platform and development tools is desired.
9. Team player and proven ability to work under pressure and meet project dates.
10. The candidate must be self-motivated, confident and mature. Must have strong analytical problem solving skills with the aptitude to learn as well as flexibility to adapt to change.
11. Understands and demonstrates best practices across all control process/procedures within Financial Services IT.
Education
Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related field or foreign equivalent.
