Sr.IT Security Analyst
Duration:6 months
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Rate: $70 per/hr on c2c
Maintains logging and monitoring of PCI audit logs from multiple platforms. Monitors and administers log forwarding servers and back-end central logging servers.Ensures logs are forwarded to a monitoring system (managed security operations center).
Monitors alerts, conducting analysis and response, working with IT and application support staff. Generate reports as required to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
Strong communication skills; capable of explaining technical simply both verbally and in writing.
Familiar with administering unix / linux operating systems for a small uniform set of systems.
Performs daily tasks without direct supervision of a senior administrator.
Conducts independent problem-solving within a defined framework, escalating when appropriate.
Unix / linux system administration skills (perl or other scripting experience and/or GCUX a plus)
Basic networking security analysis skills (IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP - and GCIA a plus)
Analysis of Unix / linux syslogs (syslog-ng & regular expressions) a plus
Administration of log management systems (ArcSight) a plus)
Incident response experience (GCIH) a plus
• Familiarity with several of the following log formats a plus:
o RedHat linux syslog
o Oracle 11g database
o IBM Web Application Server
o Firewall, IDS, switches & routers
o Other support systems (active directory, dns, ntp, ldap and others)
