Job Title: QA Analyst
Explanation for Position: Mid-level QA resource to provide database
application QA for a mission-critical database application running on an MS
Windows/SQL Server platform.
Details of Position: Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and experience
with a full software development life cycle (analysis through
implementation, post-deployment maintenance and support) applied to database
applications.
Must have 3+ years of ongoing experience performing database application QA
on Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 platforms including: experience developing
database application test plans and test cases and running data validation
test scripts in T-SQL; experience executing manual test scripts and
detecting, analyzing, documenting, tracking, and verifying software defects.
Must be able to demonstrate intermediate-level understanding of data
analysis, data modeling, and database design.
Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS a plus. Experience developing and
maintaining application test harnesses and/or test frameworks in C# .Net a
plus.
BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred. MS in CS/IT a
plus.
Will consider years of experience and training in lieu of college degree.
Management Skills: Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written English
communication skills.
Must be flexible, team oriented, self-starting, goal-focused, and capable
of working with minimal supervision.
Must be able to read, understand, and follow a formal project plan.
