Title:  Systems/Data Warehouse Architect (Governance)

Location:  NYC

Duration:  6 - 12 months

 

Our health care client in NY is looking for a Sr. Data warehouse/Systems / Data Governance Architect who can design and build a data center to support a govt. customer. Hired resource will be solely responsible for building a Data Warehouse that will grow to an estimated 1.5 petabytes.

Users of this complex will be have SAS analytics as part of their desktop suite and look to build queries and submit them to the new infrastructure for information gathering, analysis and reporting. SAS experience is very important.

Heavy ETL experience is required

The estimated cost is nearly and requires a person with intricate knowledge of building the systems, every detail, implementing high end big data solutions in a primary and secondary location (NYC and Sterling Virginia).

The equipment solution is being configured now, (EMC, VPlex, Vmax, GreenPlum with Cisco Nexus switches.

Likely Sun M9000 front end with Oracle.

The candidate will likely not be heavily involved with selection; however we do expect that person to work on this project for 5 years, so there expertise in how it installed, compliance to federal guidelines, best practices and lifecycle planning is crucial to the success of the Government Programming arm of Our healthcare client, hence Governance experience is needed.

They must understand the compliance and security issues associated with supporting the govt. while creating the build.

Healthcare industry background is ideal a huge plus.
