This is for one of our client opening for Sr. Oracle DBA in Waukegan, IL. This is a 6+ Months Contract position. The hourly rate is DOE.

 

Job Description:

• 10+ years of strong Oracle experience.

• We require an Oracle DBA with Oracle 10g &11g experience in Unix environment (Linux is preferred) , RMAN, OEM, shell scripting, database upgrades and software installations.

• The daily responsibilities will involve database infrastructure management, monitoring and optimizing the overall performance of Oracle databases.

• The activities will also include working as a Development DBA together with the Application Development teams.

• Candidate must have Strong working knowledge of PL/SQL.

• Thorough understanding of Data Warehousing Concept, Design and Architecture. Understanding Star Schema, Fact, and Dimension concepts.

• Experience and understanding of Extract Transformation Loading (ETL) concept and process.

• Working knowledge of replication.

• Understanding of software development life cycle.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent training or work experience.
