SQL Server 2005/2008, T-SQL, database architecture, Stored Procedures

SSIS, SSRS, SSAS

Responsibilities: Design database architecture for client projects which include ecommerce sites, intranets, extranets, software applications, and data warehouses Confirms database requirements by communicating with internal team, including Project Managers, Developers, and Stakeholders; studying operations and objectives; integrating enterprise requirements; applying database concepts and functional capabilities Develop Data Flow Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams and Data Structure Plan for database growth, capacity planning and scalability Perform database development/implementation activities Configure, tune and maintain SQL Server database servers Ensure 24/7 database availability, reliability and security during production Maintains database performance by developing tuning methodologies Maintain data integrity by consistently applying Guidance's database design methodology, monitoring performance, and performing tuning techniques Maintain design structure by implementing SQL standards and guidelines Complete platform upgrades and migrations, monitor performance, and coordinate actions with team members Collect, analyze and summarize database performance and trends Experience/Skills: 5+ years SQL Server experience. 2+ years' experience with SQL 2008 Fluency in SQL and Transact SQL and writing stored procedures Proven success in creating Logical and Physical Data Models from user requirements Knowledge of relevant configuration parameters to tune the database for reads/writes Hands-on experience monitoring a running database and performing tuning processes Experience in planning for database growth, capacity planning and scalability Excellent verbal and written communication skills; in compassing a proven track record of conversing with both technical and nontechnical audiences Development and deployment of MS SQL Server Integration Services packages (SSIS) Knowledge of SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Analysis Services (SSAS) a plus Education: BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience Microsoft Certification a plus
