How to Motivate Your Team…..

Your team is one of your most valuable assets, keep them motivated and the sky is the limit. Always spend some time daily 'catching someone do something right'. Make this a part of your daily routine. Make the habit to spend time with them so that they can feel comfort with you.

Praise them

 Give incentive to them

 Use incentives, rewards and recognition to acknowledge a job well done. It mean when any employee give some excellent performances you have give some extra reward to him. This might be in the shape time off, movie tickets, leaving early, bonus money, more responsibility, and praise.

 Ask them

 Try to find out what motivates each of your team. It is simple you just ask. Once you know what motivates each person place a note in their staff file so you can refer to it when you would like to recognize that individual.

 Inform them

 Keep your team advanced with company information, new clients, annual targets, customer complaints, and competitor information. Give them pure date about this; they must know real information at all.  Always ensure that they are aware of positive and negative aspects that affect your business. This is very important factor for your business.

 Get together

 Conduct a weekly or monthly team meeting. This may be not easy to get your entire team together so do this at least once a month. Impact of this meeting will show you results for example it will build your team, improve communication and generate new business ideas. Keep them advanced.

 Let them more responsibility

 Add some more responsibilities in their tasks when they do well. Allow them to work on positions higher than their own. When team members go on holidays provide them opportunities to learn new tasks and skills.

 Analysis them

 Make time after every six months to sit down with every team member and analysis his/ her progress against targets. Once in a year set aside time to analysis their improvement and document their achievement of goals and find new development areas and targets and provide an overall summary of their performance. Create a positive environment, meeting which might conduct outside the office.

 Surprise them

 Sometime do something new that makes them feel valued as team members. It could be morning tea for every team member, paying for pizza and drinks for lunch or take them to restaurant. It will give them a value.

 Educate them

 Provide them opportunities internally and externally so that they can expand their skills relating to work and life. It could be running training courses, funding their attendance at college or external courses. You can also provide internal trainer, they can learn from within the business.

 Be in touch with them

 This is the best way to keep your team motivated is to provide an environment where your team member feel important, valued and trusted by their boss. You can do this by talking with them each day, lunch with them, walking the floor and saying good morning, team meetings, at the time of reviews.
