Localization Project Manager

Location: San Jose , CA(locals)

Duration: 6 months

Please avoid resumes of candidates that have mostly QA background/experience. i am not looking for a QA lead. I am looking for candidates with solid localization project management experience. Candidate must have Localization project management experience, not just general project management experience.

L10n Project Manager Job description is below:

Primary Job Responsibilities

This position will provide project management support for PayPal's localization team  

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:    

·         conduct project kickoff meetings and attend status meetings

·         define project scope and requirements

·         build and/or re-design L10n processes for new initiatives as needed

·         develop detailed project plans

·         manage concurrent projects and recognize their interdependencies

·         track/manage projects through successful completion

·         work with external vendors & internal contributors/stakeholders (e.g. BU, LQA, Engineers, linguists, release management, other  business partners )and monitor their progress

·         communicate status, issues and risks to project stakeholders

·         resolve issues and work through changes/crisis

·         advocate L10n best practice and build relationships with external/internal partners

·         provide leadership to localization team members

This position will work closely with members of the Business Development, Product Marketing, Product Development, and International teams, as well as with all levels of management within the organization and external vendors.   

Job Requirements

·         Minimum 5 years’ experience in localization project management experience

·         Knowledge of project management software tools and management techniques

·         Demonstrated track record of successfully planning and managing large-scale/concurrent project implementations from start to finish

·         Solid experience working directly with vendors domestically and internationally

·         Clear knowledge working with cross functions and cross regions

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills and needs to have experience applying these skills to resolve technical issues

·         Extensive experience with formal software development life cycles (e.g. PDLC, Agile), especially in a Web environment

·         Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management

·         Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

·         Strong crisis/change management skills

·         Working knowledge of foreign language(s) preferred

·         Master’s degree in localization management or related fields a plus
