UNIX Administrator
The UNIX Administration Team within Technology Shared Services organization works closely with Accenture project teams to design, build, and test UNIX-based technical development environments. Further, the team is responsible for performing ongoing system administration and maintenance of these environments.

The team's general areas of responsibility include:
• Administer and manage the Unix infrastructure (installation, configuration, upgrades/patching, etc.). Supported operating systems include: HPUX, Sun Solaris, AIX, and various Linux platforms.
• Assist project teams in the design, configuration, and testing of development and execution environments – specifically in the area of Unix related technologies and applications
• Assist and guide project teams in area of hardware, operating system, application, and security selection and integration
• Assist and guide project teams in the areas of Unix system optimization and availability

The UNIX Administrator reports to a Server Team Lead. Responsibilities include:
• Ensure that the services and functions described above are delivered on time, on budget, and with a high degree of quality
• Participate in disaster recovery activities (planning, documentation, and testing)
• Perform proactive monitoring of technical environment and respond to outages as appropriate
• Improve team efficiency and capability through automation (scripting, third party tools, scheduled tasks, etc.)
• Providing troubleshooting support to project teams as needed

Primary Skill:
CIS Degree or related

Additional Must Have Skills:
UNIX system administration (HPUX, Sun Solaris, or AIX in order of preference); UNIX scripting;

Role is located in St. Petersburg, FL
