Title: Project manager

Location: Madison, WI

Duration: 6 Months contract (will be through May 30, 2012)

Client intends to hire a Project Manager. They are seeking a highly motivated person to assist with business analysis and project management duties on a Desktop Virtualization project.  The successful candidate will have exposure to a broad range of business analysis and project management practices, and will routinely track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, perform cost accounting, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts. Diligence and attention to detail are critical for success in this position.

Basic Qualifications

·         Outstanding verbal and written skills are essential

·         Business Analysis experience with large systems

·         Experience working in a deadline-driven environment, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks.

·         Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery

·         Excellent conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills

·         Ability to work independently or as a member of a team on complex tasks

·         Ability to work with technical staff and faculty to answer questions and enhance the requirements when needed

·         Demonstrated competency in interviewing program stakeholders and documenting Functional Specifications

·         Familiarity with different software development methodologies

·         Strong knowledge of best practices for developing documentation 

·         Experience capturing, verifying and managing requirements and requirement traceability in support of product development, test and delivery

Education and Qualifications

·         6+ years of IT-related experience

·         Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or any related field from an accredited institution.

·         Master's degree in Business Administration is an added advantage.

The initial commitment for this engagement will be through May 30, 2012.  The consultant should be prepared to start October 31, 2011 (or sooner if possible) and will be required to work on site.
