We have a 5-6 month position at our direct gov't agency client in Schenectady, NY (near Albany) for a Sharepoint consultant.

Details follow:

Participate in the analysis and planning of an Internet-facing collaboration Portal in SharePoint 2010.

?         Participate in the analysis and planning of both an Internet-facing and Intranet Content Management System (CMS) using SharePoint 2010.

?         Act as team member or perhaps technical lead on upgrade of internal SharePoint collaboration portal from 2007 to 2010.

?         Participate in the daily administration of SharePoint including creating sites, troubleshooting issues, and management of the Central Admin.

?         Help create agendas, develop topics, and prepare presentations that provide new information and skills for our growing Users Group monthly meeting throughout the state.  Possible facilitation of this meeting.

?         Meet/train users in the functionality of SharePoint both in person and via phone/Video Conference/WebEx, etc. 

?         Meet with potential site owners to gather requirements and aid in the design and implementation of collaboration sites to meet their needs.

?         Provide mentoring and support of staff in their efforts to develop customized applications and workflows in SharePoint and at times, augment state staff during the development and support of high priority agency SharePoint applications.

• Acquire complete knowledge and understanding of and help support clients specific implementation of SharePoint including site structure, navigation, and branding as well as the custom enhancements and workflows that have been developed. 
• Complete familiarity with the clients SharePoint Training site and training resources on the Internet and the ability to direct users to appropriate training for additional knowledge and self-help.

Client is interviewing now.

Communication must be spot on.

We will have our Sharepoint consultant tech candidates who look good.
