Job Title:  Netbackup Consultant

Location: Irving, TX

Duration: 3- 6 Months

Rate: Open

 

Netbackup consultant

 

1. Knowledge on Netbackup 6.x, 7.x on different OS platforms.

2. Good knowledge of de-duplication technology like Data Domain.

3. Experience on supporting heterogeneous environments with Netbackup .

4. Configuration & management of Virtual/physical Tape Libraries, Enterprise to mid level tape libraries.

5. Designing & Implementation Knowledge on Netbackup 6.x, 7.x

6. Netbackup Server level version upgrades and also migration of Netbackup Master and Media servers from Solaris to Linux.

6. Ability to provide technical recommendations on Netbackup architecture.

8. Troubleshooting issues related to backup environment at server level and client level with RCA's.

9. Strong understanding of Netbackup error codes and resolution.

10. Perform builds(master and media servers), decommissions, and verifications of backup setup.

11. Advanced knowledge with performance tuning and optimization in Netbackup.

12. Backup capacity planning and performance tuning .

13. Identify and document best practices and challenges associated with backup setup.

14. Knowledge/experience with Backup Management / Monitoring Tools.

15. Having hands on experience in Netbackup Catalog recovery and disaster recovery.

16. Knowledge of Netbackup Catalog Merge Activity.

 

Note : Expert VERITAS Netbackup consultant from Symantec Professional Services will be preferred.
