Automation Engineer

Location: Norfolk, VA

Duration :  8 months. 

Summary

You'll be the primary contributor on a project to port existing automation scripts and tools from legacy system to VaraLogix Q. VaraLogix Q is software that provides Deployment Automation and Configuration Management in one solution

 

Responsibilities

*  Automate deployment of multi-tier hosted web applications using VaraLogix Q

*  Review existing automation sequences. Port or develop new scripts/methods.

*  Establish VaraLogix Q policies for deployment through QA, stage and production

 

Minimum Qualifications

*  Five years experience in an Internet service provider or enterprise-level environment

*  Fluent in both Microsoft and Linux/Open-Source Technologies

*  Experience automating application deployments and management

*  Exceptionally strong scripting skills

*  Good organizational skills with very close attention to detail

*  Good troubleshooting skills

*  Excellent written/oral communication skills
