HOT REQ: WebSphere Architect

Position: WebSphere Architect

Location: Newark, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months 

Interview Process: Phone then onsite

 

Scope:

    Provide a vision and lead the development team (Onsite/offshore)

    Responsible for solution assurance and designing the end product.

    Well versed in using RSA, Visio to depict logical/physical architecture diagrams, depicting blue prints, Sequence, Class diagrams

    Write Macro and Micro level design documents and take responsibility of the solution.

    Enforce best practices, design patterns and define standards.

    Perform code reviews and mentor team members to ensure quality delivery

    Interface with Business analysts and align with Project Manager to ensure timely delivery.

    This is a hands on role leading Portal Development Activities (60% Architect responsibilities 40% POC and hands on responsibilities)

    Work closely with onsite and offshore vendors to enforce standards and ensure quality.

 

Position Requirements:

    WebSphere Commerce Architect (Configuration & Development)

    8-10 years of IT experience working with Java/J2ee technologies

    At least 4 years of recent WebSphere Commerce Configuration & Development experience (Commerce version 7.0)

    Configuring WebSphere Commerce is a must have (Security (LDAP), Setting product catalogs, extended sites, Catalog assets, Personalization Rules, Promotions).

    Candidate must have been an architect in at least 2-3 full large scale WebSphere commerce projects and must have overseen all phases (Inception to Project closure)

    Experience integrating WebSphere Commerce and WebSphere Portal is highly desirable

    Experience integrating TAM/TIM will be highly desired

 

Nice to Have:

    Experience with Data Power, ILOG and WebSphere Process server

    WebSphere Commerce Certification

    Health Insurance Experience
