Job Title : Senior Linux Admin

Location: Washington, DC

Project Duration : 6+ months

Primary Skills : 10 + years RHEL Linux Admin, virtualization, scripting

 

Other Information :

10+ years Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing RHEL operating systems in a large scale (1000+) enterprise environment.
Expertise in virtualization architectures, various hypervisors, virtual storage concepts, and clustering models for a high-availability environment.
Expert level knowledge of RHEL, Puppet/Chef, Nagios, Crowbar, Perl, Shell scripting, Cisco USC hardware.
Experience developing and negotiating common monitoring and configuration standards in complex matrix environments
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing Linux operating systems, SAN, MySQL database clusters, and similar applications in a large scale, customer-facing enterprise environment.
Solid experience in developing automation, data analysis, and similar tools in Ruby, Perl, Python, or PHP.
Solid experience with many aspects of network troubleshooting, including analyzing tcpdumps, detailed understanding of common protocols such as DNS, HTTP, and SMTP.
