Role:

·         Senior Software Engineers and Technical Leads

 

Job Description

·         Participating in architecture and design review discussions

·         Working closely with desktop hardware chipset teams

·         Designing, coding, and debugging applications

·         Developing Windows* device drivers, user applications and firmware and/or Option ROM and/or BIOS applications for integrated storage and redundant array of independent disks (RAID) products

·         Debugging product and test failures using software debuggers, In-Target Probe (ITP) and bus analyzers

·         Assisting development engineering with debugging and implementing customer specific issues/features

·         Debugging of performance related issues, analyzing benchmark data, and bottle necks in the IO path and suggesting/implementing improvements to the same

 

Work Location

·         Chandler, AZ

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. 5 plus years of experience.

 

Required skills:

·         Expert C/C++ and object oriented coding skills

·         Debug and development experience with kernel debuggers and/or Windows* application debuggers and/or DOS firmware and/or Option ROM and/or Basic Input Output System (BIOS) debugging

·         Strong knowledge of Windows OS Kernel and Windows device driver internals specifically storport storage architecture.

·         Experience with storage protocols, interfaces and concepts. (SATA, SAS, SCSI, AHCI) including caching
as well as experience with Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI), Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE) or RAID devices would be an advantage.

 

Optional Sklls:

·         Education and experience in file systems, user interface development, storage products and/or redundant array of independent disks (RAID), Windows* operating systems (Linux* would be an added advantage)

·         General PC architecture knowledge

·         Windows* software programming experience, PC System BIOS skills, and PC assembly skills

·         Experience with storage I/O performance analysis / benchmarking preferred.
