Primary Responsibilities
Develop and/or enhance automated software tools to measure and improve software development quality and productivity. Tasks include requirements definition, design, documentation, implementing code, test, piloting, and packaging for general use.
• Utilizes available open source tools whenever possible
• Integrates with existing tools and databases
• Follows a standard development process and creates standard documentation
Qualifications
Basic
(This refers to the basic requirements an applicant must possess in order to be considered a candidate).
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or equivalent at an accredited college or university
• Development experience with SQL and database design
• Development experience with java programming language
• Strong technical writing skills
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Highly self-motivated and able to learn new things quickly
• Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Skills & experience that are "nice to have"
• Experience with BIRT or equivalent report design tool
• Experience with Hudson / Jenkins or equivalent continuous integration tool
• Experience with standard software development lifecycles a plus
• Experience with Agile / Scrum framework a plus
