Here is the description for the Java Designers w/banking experience
positions.
Experienced Technical Designers needed to review & approve vendor
deliverables. Knowledge of Bank products including, but not limited to, the
ability to read and understand Unified Modeling Language (UML) models or
diagrams is helpful but not required. More details below
Description of Duties for Detailed Design Work:
1. Define and validate physical system and technical requirements.
2. Select appropriate supporting technologies for projects and design
relationship with applications.
3. Apply key architecture principles, objectives, and best practices.
4. Expert in technology being used
5. Understands Systems topology, test topology, and other topological
notations of architecture.
6. Understand system architecture
7. Experienced in all aspects of design
o UML notation.
o Class diagrams
o Use cases
o Use case scenarios
o Sequence diagrams
o Object oriented design model
o SCM plan
o Object oriented analysis
8. Well versed in OO programming, J2EE, Spring, Tomcat, Continuous
Integration, and Spring Tool Suite
9. Understands design patterns, anti-patterns and distributed computing
10. Develop designs for specific non-functional requirements
11. Must be able to work with developers to create analysis document
12. Review analysis documents created by developers and approve
13. Review code with the aid of analysis document and approve
o All check list items in analysis document must be reviewed
o Ensure JUnits are coded and are valid, check the reports.
o Cyclomatic complexity should match entrance criteria
o Check style should be turned on all the times and all check style errors
should be fixed
14. Look at each story from application perspective.
15. Propose design patterns that would help current story and future story
development
16. Identify complexity in the code
17. Plan refactoring to reduce complexity, increase manageability and
maintainability
19. Identify issues and provide solutions to work around issues
20. Actively identify, resolve and escalate issues that will stop stories
from being done
21. Assign the stories to developers based on their abilities
22. Challenge the developer by setting an end time for story assigned to
them
23. Work with developers to ensure that stories assigned to them were
completed on expected time with quality
24. Work with developers and help them troubleshoot issues
25. Work with build master and Test analyst to ensure that environment
needs for story/sprint does not become a bottle neck
26. Work with security analyst and implement security needs for story
27. Provide constant updates to scrum master, lead and manager
Description of Duties for Test Responsibilities:
28. Review and understand test case scenarios
29. Ensure developed code handles all test case scenarios
30. Analyze and assign defect to developer who coded story
31. Work with developer to ensure that defect status is actively updated
32. Help developer if needed to troubleshoot defect
33. Track all defects assigned to your team and ensure they get resolved in
timely manner
34. Ensure that new defects are not created while fixing a defect
