Position: SQL DBA w/Financial or Banking Industry exp.

Location: Melville, NY

Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:

- Need to have 5 + years of financial and/or banking services experience

- Responsible for the design, development and administration of transactional and analytical data constructs/structures. Included within those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery technologies. Includes SQL Server. 

- Duties include performance tuning, monitoring, software installs and upgrades, and physical and logical database design. Some SQL Server databases very large, with a minimum size of 500 GB and 1000 users. 

- Familiarity with Web Applications. 

- Hands on experience with Microsoft Windows XP or higher version.

- Hands on experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel. 

- MUST HAVE: Work experience of  5+ years in the Financial Services industry.

- MUST HAVE:  Three + years experience with  knowledge of other MS SQL advanced features 

- Works independently familiarity with other data bases, ETL tools, web applications and or other programming languages 

- Develops advanced domain specific technology solutions and guides their development into a final product 

- ETL experience in implementation and design 

- Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels (Executive Sponsors to team members).
