Sr. Business Analyst -Healthcare

Location: Quincy, MA

 

Length: 6+ months

 

Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge and experience with complex IT projects
• Highly polished and able to communicate effectively to all levels of associates including leadership at multiple corporate levels
• Ability to define and document business requirements through meetings with business subject matter experts
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving, identifying opportunities for process improvements and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver a quality product within agreed upon deadlines
• Proficiency in personal computer and desktop applications, in particular, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Excel
• Effective listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills   (sample requirements written by candidate a plus)
• .Listens openly to others' ideas and perspectives, asks questions to probe for understanding, and confirm you have correctly heard the other person
• Results oriented with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent organizational skills

Highly Desired but Not Required:

• Knowledge of healthcare and the healthcare payer space
• Knowledge of Pharmacy Benefit Managers (Express Scripts, Medco, CVS Caremark) and related pharmacy operations
• Experience gathering requirements for and interfacing with legacy systems / mainframes, interfaces / flat file feeds, and vendor integration
• HIPAA EDI transactions  (NCPDP, 834, 820)
• Knowledge of Medicare / Medicaid
• Encounter Reporting  to CMS or an analogous state agency
• Knowledge of Enrollment & Eligibility Processing in the healthcare payer environment
• Experience with UML / use cases
