Web Developer with Ruby on Rails Experience
Work Location : Sunnyvale , CA.
Duration : 6 Months+ Contract
Rate : Market

Staff Engineer, JavaScript and Ruby User Interfaces

Required:

•          8+ years of Professional Application Software Development experience

•          Java, and Ruby on Rails, and similar server-side frameworks exp. required

•          Web Application Dev., using JavaScript, CSS, HTML4/HTML5, AJAX, JQuery and JSON - Professional experience building in all languages

•          Agile War Room-style User Interface development environment - experience working in this type of environment

•          Browser-based MVC frameworks, such as JavaScriptMVC, Node.js, CanJS, Amber.js or AngularJS - Experience using required

•          Test Driven Development exp., where unit tests are integrated from the earliest stages of the development cycle - previous experience

•          Scrum and Agile Software Development methodologies - strongly preferred

•          DevOps deployment and monitoring best practices - strongly preferred

•          Must have a strong passion for developing cutting-edge user interfaces and data visualization

•          BSCS or MSCS Degree, or equivalent

Desired:

•          Rails 3 exp. - a strong plus

•          NoSQL databases, especially CouchDB - desired

•          User interface development for load testing tools - considered a strong plus

Job Description:

•          Develop in JavaScript and Ruby

o          User Interfaces

•          Will be a core member of the software development team

•          Responsible for develop of the user interface and application logic for award-winning products *

o          Work with team to deliver user interface design and handle all phases of the development process, starting from UI prototyping and final layout to implementation, unit testing, integration
            testing and bug fixing

•          Evaluate user interface technologies that can improve the user experience, speed up development efforts, or improve overall code quality

•          Self-starter, an individual who can evaluate new user interface technologies quickly and who works well independently as well as within a team

•          Work closely with members of the Product Management Team, User Experience, and User Interface Engineering teams, to design and develop new software products, as well as to enhance
            existing products and online offerings

•          Thrive on developing innovative ideas for solving complex client-side JavaScript and server-side Ruby User Interface challenges, and executing these ideas using Agile/Scrum and Test Driven
            Development (best)

•          Mentor other team members
