Skill - Wireless Access
Should have worked for at least 48 months in Wireless Access Technologies -GSM, GPRS, EDGE, CDMA, CDMA-EVDO, WiMAX, UMTS, 3GPP/3GPP2, including design ingactivitiy for at least 12 months. Should have been the mentor for at least 2VTP in the Wireless Access domain Should have authored at least 1 White Paper in the Wireless Access Technologies Should have given at least 1 tech-talk on topic of Wireless Access Technologies in any of the Business Unit Forums Able to analyze product portfolio and suggest enhancements. Should be aware of market trends and standards and should be able to discuss the latest technology developments in the industry Should have contributed to the standard bodies -either by being a working body member or by submitting drafts
Skill - SDP
Ability to provide a complete architecture for a SDP system with different requirements (e.g. based on a. subscriber base OR, b. based on applications like multi-party gaming etc Ability to compartmentalize the different data(e.g. user data, application data, network data, policy data) Designing of APIs and methods of access for underlying services based on SOA
Skill - Telecom
Should have good understanding of one of the telecom domains(Wireless, EMS/NMS, Optical, VNGN, and Data/Access Networks)and the deployment scenarios of the corresponding products.Should be able to analyze requirement and estimate for features and list risks.Should have capability to design a functional block/ module.Should have the hands-on knowledge in designing of features.Should be able to translate the telecom standards into implementation and to design the protocols/ functional entities.Should be familiar with test tools and test environment.
Skill - Architecting
Responsible for managing the design & architecture for large complex projects& reviewing directions given by lower level architects. Expected to develop new concepts and principles. Problems generally have limited or no precedent. Is able to integrate knowledge of own discipline with knowledge of other disciplines in order to develop integrated solutions and help in setting organisational road-map. Requires expert knowledge of multiple development technologies. The role is expected to write & present white papers & articles in recognized magazines and industry forums. May serve as an external spokesperson for the organisation. Applies advanced knowledge and experience to the development of new methods, programs and procedures. The role would offer expertise cutting across units and would make strategic decisions which will have an impact on the business. Is recognized as an expert and manages divergent interest and perspectives through significant persuasion skills.Advises Sr Management on specialized technical issues. Conducts, supports and reports research in ones own area of expertise. Is responsible for capability development of the team/ unit and contributes to development plans for the entire organisation.
