Java Software Engineer (AIX) -- Mooresville,NC -- 6+ Months

Location: Mooresville,NC

Duration: 3+ Months

Description:

 

Trying to set up Testing Environments so systems are talking to each other. Currently they have a lot of manual intervention; they are trying to automate, moving from a very manual labor intensive. They are data loading flat files, need configuration exp. They currently have Jenkins, Jenkins would be preferred, but will consider other tools.

 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Code, test, and analyzing 2-tier, 3-tier, or N-tier client/server applications.

Support existing business systems applications.

Consult with business analysts to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions.

Design and document technical requirements for business applications.

Assist with the design, development, testing, and documentation of web sites/pages.

Support production and maintenance of existing applications.

Assist with the development of client business requirements and preparation of specifications, attend meetings and reply to users with basic information.

HTML programming and Web page development.

 

 

Requirements:

 

Need someone that has Experience with AIX, Linux, Shell Scripting, Python, Shell, ideally Pearl but that is a min req. Must have solid Database skills, UDB and DB2. Need trouble shooting and experience doing Database queries.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field preferred

3 to 5 years of experience in Web application development or equivalent total experience.

Proficient using Java for multi-tiered web-based applications.

Demonstrate an understanding of HTML–based programming, including understanding of HTML authoring tools to implement these functions.

Positions will be used for Test server set-up and automation for Omni rollout (under DevOps).

Additional Skills: Python Atlassian suite : Jira , Stash/Bitbucket, Git
