Location: Dallas

Duration:  6 months

 

Requirements:

 

 Hands-on experience with AIX server builds, implementation, performance tuning & migration.

•    Min. 4 yrs of hands-on experience with IBM PowerVM  Virtualization and IBM HMCs
•    In-depth knowledge on IBM PowerVM configuration and Management
•    In-depth knowledge on IBM Power6  technologies and HMC V7
•    Familiar with NPIV
•    Familiar with Live partition Mobility (LPM)
•    Min. 1 yr hands-on experience with IBM Blades
•    Experience in implementing and maintaining TSA (Tivoli Systems Automation)
•   Excellent communication skills 
•  The candidate will
•  work on prepare and build - AIX LPARS according to specifications provided
•  provide support for all UNIX based servers for the SAP environment and its related systems.
•  Work with SAP infrastructure team and other IT teams, as required. Provide support for ERP products and other UNIX based products.
•   Provide support of the ERP infrastructure by performing all functions that require administrator privileges on the ERP UNIX system.
•   Provide infrastructure support of all tools that ship with UNIX (compilers, debuggers, mailers, etc.)
•   Provide infrastructure support of additional UNIX and non-UNIX tools required to support the ERP environment.
•   Install and maintain the high availability clustering tools and scripts (TSA).
•   Maintain the servers in accordance to site security standards.
•   Install and upgrade UNIX on all new and existing server components.
•   Implement scripts and other UNIX utilities
•  Setup and maintain user accounts
•  Provide support of all server components.
•  Provide support contracts for system software updates and patches.
•  Provide access to non-supported software on an as-is basis
•  Provide access to companywide licensed applications for UNIX
•  Monitor system performance
