We are in need of an Oracle RAC Database Consultant. This is an immediate need. Location is New York, NY. Please make sure the resumes are no longer than 5 pages maximum. Please send resumes to my attention with lowest rates upfront.
Database Consultant – Oracle RAC Specialist
· 2 month+ engagement to include hands-on implementation AND required knowledge transfer to current staff
Required Skills:
· 5 years deep Oracle RAC experience in AIX environment with at least 2 significant RAC implementations in Oracle 11g
· 10 years Oracle DBMS experience -- current in Oracle 11g
· Recent experience in RMAN, ASM, Oracle Cluster and Grid Infrastructure – significant implementation experience required
· Strong UNIX scripting
· Good teamplayer
Preferred Skills:
· Oracle DBA Certification (optional, but "nice to have")
· Strong communication (writing and presentation) skills as this engagement requires extensive knowledge transfer to a team of Oracle DBAs with no RAC exposure
· Experience with setting and publishing standards for new users of complex DBMS features
· Production support (24x7) experience; this position is not on-call but the individual must understand the requirements of a 24x7 environment to properly configure a robust, reliable RAC environment and associated support procedures
