Description:
This position is focused on supporting application development and operations team with the utilization of Oracle DBMS.
Provides Oracle database support to application team developing new commissions functionality.
* Supports multiple development and testing databases
* Deploys schema changes across environments as projects deploy
* Provides guidance to the application team for table definition including relationships, keys, and indexing strategies.
* Deploys schema changes into production during implementation phases
* Provides refreshed data from production into various development and testing environments.
* Supports database links across related application databases.
* Provides guidance and support to the application team with the use of Oracle techniques and utilities to solve application design and performance problems.
* Works with application team reviewing complex SQL statements to identifying opportunities for improved performance and simplification.
Provides Oracle database support to commission operations team supporting commissions processing.
* Addresses database performance issues when required.
* Provides guidance and support to manage database space planning and utilization
* Develops and maintains ongoing table partitioning strategies.
* Works with production DBAs managing database releases and patching
