We are looking for IBM Mainframe Administrator.
Location: Cary, NC.
Duration: 6 months Extendable contract.
Rate: $45/hr
Job Description:
* 10+ years of Experience as an IBM CICS systems programmer.
* Responsible for systems engineering and administering large, complex IT systems in IBM Mainframe.
* Install large, complex systems for CICS Transaction Server and CICS supporting tools.
* Advanced knowledge of CICS, CICS Plex installation, configuration, customization and management.
* Provide systems administration such as maintenance, upgrades, security, backup and recovery for CICS online and batch systems, and third party CICS supporting products.
* Working knowledge on systems administration such as maintenance, upgrades, security, backup and recovery for MQ will be of added advantage
* Experience with MQ and TSO/ISPF.
* Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting third party products related to CICS.
* Experience with JCL, SMPE, VSAM, Utilities on the mainframe.
* Familiarity on TPX, TCP/IP, VTAM.
* Advanced analytical and problem solving skills on complex systems issues.
* Ability to cross train and provide support in other functional areas.
* Ability to work independently under general management directions.
* Ability to work effectively with customers and non-technical people.
* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing on complex IT issues.
* The ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
* The demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* The ability to coordinate work items and schedules, provide back-up and support to team members as needed.
