Title: Unix Administrator

Location:Phenix,AZ
Duration;6+Months

 

Experience : At Least 7-8 Yrs

 

Skills Must Have:

 

•Solaris (10) administration experience with good exposure to Zones
•Experience in upgrading Solaris to latest versions
•Experience on VERITAS enterprise hardware and storage
•Sun Jumpstart / Linux Kickstart with pre-script and post-script experience and clear concepts are important
•Volume management software experience is a must. (VERITAS Cluster and Cluster File System is a plus )
•Configuration of Server Security Tools- IPTABLES.
•Experience on Virtualization, zones is advantage
•Performance tuning.
•Root cause analysis and Problem management
•Fair knowledge of networking, TCP, UDP, RPC etc.
•Knowledge on patching of Solaris
•Disk Management, User management.

Skills Desirable:

•Scripting knowledge
•Installation and Configuration of Middleware such as WebSphere and MQ
•Good co mmunication and customer facing skills
•Understand solutions/alternatives to customer proposed solution for environment setup and suggest changes
•Knowledge on MS Visio/MS PowerPoint
•Hands-on experience on Red Hat Linux is advantage
•Shell and/or Perl scripting knowledge and skills
•Good knowledge of VMWARE & related products
•Designs backup policies, procedures & schedules based on best practice & customer requests
•Knowledge on patching of Linux
•Installation of Apache/TOMCAT/backup and monitoring tool clients
