Job Description:
Competency Web Services; Primary Skills: Drupal/Java/j2EE/OS/iPhone/Mobile Technology; technology:Drupal/Java/j2EE/OS/iPhone/Mobile Technology
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop RESTful Web Services to build communication between Drupal modules and Java services
• Coordinate builds and deployment with the off-shore team
• Work with the business team to create systematic business requirements
• Design, develop and configure custom Drupal modules to support business requirements
• Perform code reviews and guide the team to follow standards and best practices
• Work with the software engineering team through the product development lifecycle across multiple disciplines such as mobile, web and server side development. Promote a culture of learning and prolific software development within the team.
• Develop highly scalable, secure and integrated web and mobile applications targeted at the consumer using best of breed technologies and practices from the world of web and server side programming.
• Institutionalize agile software engineering best practices and tools that ensure high quality and rapid product release cycles.
• Research and identify trends and technologies that would give the product a competitive advantage and rapidly assimilate them into the product.
Qualifications:
• Expertise in Web Services, SOA, including RESTful, JSON, AJAX, SOAP, WSDL principles
• Experience in front-end technologies like AJAX, Javascript, HTML
• Experience in J2EE & Database design including Oracle and MySQL
• 8+ years of Java J2EE experience including design and architecture experience in large scale systems
• 3+ years of Hibernate
• Experience developing web services including versioning and schema provisioning
• Experience implementing a maven build process
• At least 3 years of experience building systems using PHP, MySQL, Javascript and jQuery
• At least 3 years of Drupal experience, including module and theme development, installation, configuration, design and customization
• Experience with Google Maps, Apache, Jboss and Tomcat is desired
• Experience with mobile phone development is a big plus
• Prior experience working with global teams is preferred.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
