MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Write, test and deploy Perl, Shell and SQL Server code for the Prime
Risk application. Knowledge of Market Risk is a big plus for this
role. Also the candidate needs the ability to work directly from
business requirements. The candidate will also be expected to help
with production support of the current PR system. This support would
include approximately one week per month on call support where the
candidate would need to be available from home for overnight/weekend
calls.
Essential
Experience developing a Perl and Object Perl applications in a UNIX
environment. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Production support experience for a critical project 10+ years Perl
and UNIX development using Sybase
Desirable
Experience at a financial services firm. Market Risk knowledge from
either working in a development group or business knowledge is also
required
Experience in any of the following SQL Server, Oracle, Windows
development, Crystal Reports
