Project Management Roles (20-30 openings)

Please let me know if you have any one for these positions: Please read carefully there are 3 types of PMP certified skills needed.

 

Need candidates with PMP certification.

 

 

Site PM: 5 openings (1 in Livingston, NJ. 1 in Ft. Worth, TX. 1 in Boston, MA. 1 in Nashville, TN. 1 in Stevens Point, WI)

Infrastructure PM: 10-20 openings in Livingston, NJ and Ft. Worth, TX

Application PM: 10-20 openings Livingston, NJ and Ft. Worth, TX

 

Location: Livingston, NJ or Ft. Worth, TX (need a Site PM at each location)

Duration: 18-24 months

Requirements: PMP certification, Data Center Consolidation

 

 

Site Project Managers ("Site PM") - The Site PM leads the site migration effort from discovery through implementation.  The Site PM may also be responsible for decommissioning, unless Customer chooses a different manager for this activity.  The Site PM manages the site service and is responsible for the project management, reporting and liaison with the BU.  The key responsibility of the Site PM is to coordinate the Migration Factory and the infrastructure build team resources (Build Service) to successfully complete the required remediation, transformation and migration.

 

The Site PM manages business sponsors expectations to ensure delivery of solutions. The Site PM manages teams of business analysts, technicians, administrators, engineers, other vendors, quality teams, and support teams in accomplishing project objectives within budget and scope of the project using proven project management methodologies including PMI, and Agile. This includes providing effective project management, meeting project timeframes and budget requirements, motivating team members, and supporting overall corporate objectives. The Site PM assists in Project estimation by preparing preliminary project plan schedules and budgets for incorporation into Project initiation documents. Assist in the identification of project staffing requirements, and participate in the selection of team members.

 

The Site PM is responsible for providing priorities and direction to project team members, and keeping team members informed and motivated throughout the course of the Project.  The Site PM will (1) prepare the detailed project plan -- tasks, schedules, and dependencies and the project budget, and (2) coordinate all Project activities in accordance with established project scope, schedules and budgets. This position includes task prioritization, anticipation of problems, scheduling shifts and conflict resolution as needed. It also includes arranging and conducting regular project meetings, preparing and distributing meeting minutes, and following up on meeting action lists and assignments. The Site PM prepares and distributes regularly scheduled project updates to required personnel, business sponsors, Project team and management to ensure the Project is set to be delivered on time and in budget.

 

The Site PM will be responsible for the following Deliverables, among others:

  • Current State Inventory
  • Legacy Data Center Site Questionnaire
  • Target State Inventory
  • Application Profile
  • Migration Project Plan
  • Performance Testing Questionnaire
  • Migration Factory Checklist
  • User Acceptance Test Plan and Sign-off
  • Go Live Process
  • Migration Test Plan
  • Migration Flash Reports
  • Decommission Process and Data Disposal
  • Lessons Learned
  • Project Closure.

 

Infrastructure Project Managers ("Infrastructure PM") - The Infrastructure PM works in conjunction with the Business Project Managers provided by the business units who will work closely with the Site Teams (Business PM) [to facilitate the collection of the detailed infrastructure information which is required by the Migration Factory and Build Services.  They will also be responsible for managing (1) the transmission of the application and data assets to the appropriate target environment, (2) migrations from existing Windows and VMware instances to new high-density blade infrastructure, and (3) migrations from existing SUSE and other Linux / UNIX operating systems to IBM P7 platform leveraging AIX, SUSE.

 

·         Some of the data collection points and activities the Infrastructure PM is responsible for are:

o   Hardware and software infrastructure inventory

o   3rd party tools (development, management and production)

o   Physical tape usage (local and off-site storage); coordinate the disposition with the Business PM

o   Current state disaster recovery implementation (3rd party vendors)

o   Security requirements

o   Network configuration (specifically local considerations) and extranet requirements

o   Firewalls and DMZ requirements

o   Messaging

o   Local Telephony (PBX requirements)

o   Migration schedule planning

o   Application and data migration

o   Infrastructure testing coordination.

 

Application Project Managers ("Application PM") - The Application PM also works in conjunction with the Business PM to facilitate the collection of application and data information which is required by the Migration Factory and Build Services.  The Application PM is responsible for management of database migrations from existing Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and UDB platforms to new infrastructure leveraging high-density virtualization, CPU sharing, clustering, SRDF, and other replication technologies. The resource must have direct experience managing such projects and overseeing testing of enterprise application databases, and subsequent troubleshooting efforts.

 

·         Some of the data collection points the Application PM is responsible for are:  (note as in the Infrastructure PM, this is primarily a facilitation role)

o   Application inventory

o   Application architecture

o   Application mapping

o   Consistency groups

o   Migration schedule planning

o   Pre-migration application latency baseline

o   Post-migration application latency baseline

o   Application testing (test scripts)

o   Automation (run books).
