Job Description

 

1. Work with users and application developers to define requirements, design and implement data models, data acquisition and data access to support transactional processing and analysis and reporting 
2. Define practical information architecture (ODS, DW, Data Mart) and data management solutions for ongoing data quality assurance, data replication and synchronization between MS SQL Server 2008 R2 and Oracle 10g, data sharing / reuse and high volume data processing 
3. Design and implement advance ETL solutions to process terabytes of data 
4. Develop complex database access solutions including complex hierarchical and multidimensional queries (including federated) to support high volume data analysis, reporting, data mining 
5. Design and implement data test bed to support ongoing OLTP and analytical application and reporting testing 
6. Analyze and optimize database to improve performance and availability 
7. Design and implement data replication solutions to support ongoing synchronization of off-line data analysis and transactions processing 
8. Collaborate with DBAs in DBMS optimization, archive and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security, and change management 
9. Design and implement partitioning indexing, SQL optimization and summarization solutions

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

1) Strong software engineering discipline and daily hands-on Software Development in a distributed and high volume transaction processing systems 
2) Must be able to work with changing requirements 
3) Flexible with traveling and be able to work with minimal requirement
