Job Description:

This position is responsible for designing, modifying, writing, and implementing software programming applications written in J2EE, Java, JSP, JSON, and MS SQL Server. This position will report to the EAS Manager and Technical Team Lead. Work must be performed onsite at PERS HQ in Tigard/Portland - no telecommuting and local candidates only.

Duties:

• Work with project team to maintain and enhance an existing, highly customized, web-based enterprise application (COTS)

• Troubleshoot, debug and analyze root cause issues; provide solutions to quickly resolve problems

• Write design documents for new enhancements

• Research and improve current application performance
  Use an Integrated Development Environment (IBM Rational Application Developer) to make coding changes

• Use a change management database (IBM Rational ClearQuest) to track and update statuses of issues and changes

• Use a software configuration management system (Subversion/SVN) to control changes to source code

• Working experience using Agile Development Methodologies

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
2 years + experience with J2EE and Java Development
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 r2
Good communication skills and proficient in writing documentations.
