Job Title: QA Lead with automation skills/QTP Expert
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Duration: 12 Months
We are seeking a QA Lead with automation skills to be a part of our team of quality assurance experts; the ideal candidate is a passionate and hardworking software quality engineer who can work collaboratively with our team and lead the inception of test automation best practices.
Ample experience in software quality assurance and outstanding communication skills are highly valued attributes. Additionally, the candidate will also have the opportunity to train and develop your skills in cutting-edge technology platforms around enterprise business platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
· Implement test automation strategies across multiple projects and IT platforms based on the industry's best practices and standards.
· Define overarching test automation framework and strategies across multiple projects and platforms.
· Define and implement ROI plans and strategies across the QA organization.
· Develop test automation plans.
· Assess test readiness and conduct test automation process.
· Prepare test automation results, summary and recommendations documentation.
· Troubleshoot test automation scripts across multiple layers of an application.
· Walkthrough of the performance results/problems to the client.
· Lead offshore teams across multiple projects of manual and automation testing.
Required Skills
· 6-10 years of overall QA experience of which 4 - 5 years should be working and leading automation projects, designing frameworks, highly skilled with QTP.
· Experience leading offshore teams across multiple projects.
· Expert skills in HP Tools - QC and QTP.
· Good experience on QTP Object Repository.
· Should expert in descriptive programming.
· Custom library development in QTP.
· Ability to code around unrecognized objects and controls in QTP.
· Ability to integrate QTP scripts into QC.
· Ability to manage, maintain and troubleshoot execution Labs.
· Ability to develop custom error handling and reporting methods.
· Ability to work with a group of automation engineers and manual testers.
· Need senior manager level experience in test automation framework designing (Hybrid, keyword driven, etc.).
· Ability to query the front and back end and make sure the values match using a high level language such as MS SQL and/or T-SQL workflow.
· Develop functional/regression automated testing solutions using QTP, traditional QTP framework, and/or data driven techniques.
· Ensure that testing activities will allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
· Automate existing manual test cases in collaboration with QA team members.
· Research new technologies, develop cutting-edge automation and provide product enhancements and/or recommendations when necessary.
· Expert skills in VBScript.
· Familiarity with function libraries and programming concepts ability to understand, evaluate and develop solutions for complex problems.
· Familiarity with QTP object model.
· Familiarity with Visual Studio Testing Tools.
· Should have good knowledge on Parameterization, and Recovery Scenarios Management.
· Should able to create Generic Functions which can be used across other scripts.
· Excellent training/collaboration skills required.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills (verbal and written).
Desired Skills
The following skills are not required, but considered as an added advantage.
· Experience with mobile testing.
· Experience in automation tools like J System or Selenium.
· Experience with enterprise suite applications automation.
· Thought leadership – the ability and background in identifying issues and providing recommended solutions.
· Ability to identity and promote alternate solutions and new technologies to benefit current project, related projects, and client organization.
Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
Certifications: Any testing certifications like ISTQB, CSTE, and HP Tool is an added advantage.
