Role : SR. SAN Architect

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Length: 12 months 

Start Date: ASAP

 

MUST LIVE IN WEST COAST AREA

 

Candidate must be Architect/Lead level and has strengths in NETAPP and HDS products.

 

Overview:

Consultant candidate will design, test, implement, troubleshoot and various aspects of the storage environment. Candidate will also monitor uptime and overall health of the systems. Schedules installations and upgrades for all SAN platforms and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance level.

 

 

Requirements:

1.       Must have 7-10  yrs experience with HDS SAN Hardware including HDS arrays: AMS, USP, VSP &  and NetApp,

      Install, configure, test and implement SAN software and hardware

      Must have Replication technologies SME :          

o   HDS and NetApp in system, nearline, and distance replication and migration technologies

 

2.        Must have Significant  Architectural leadership experience inclusive of :

      Storage architecture assessment and gap analysis

      Business requirement definition and technology alignment

      Vendor feature comparison

      Storage architecture development and implementation roadmap and rollout planning

      Architecture option cost comparison

      Core-edge, redundant, mesh and metro and wide area SAN design

 

3.       Must have Significant SAN ADMINISTRATION experience inclusive of :

      Team leadership

      SAN design and zoning

      SAN Troubleshooting

      Advanced SAN and Storage troubleshooting & Storage configuration

      Application Storage design and rollout planning

      Storage test plan development

      HDS storage administration

      Hitachi Tuning Manager use for monitoring and reporting

      SAN metrics analysis and reporting

4.       Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.

5.       Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator

6.       Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project
