The Oracle Database Administrator position will support production/ DR/ QA/ Development Databases for multiple applications. This includes OLTP and Data warehousing applications. In this role, the DBA is expected to perform day-to-day activities such as backup/ error recovery, monitoring, performance tuning, patch applications and upgrades to the various environments. This position is expected to work with the offshore DBA team to accomplish daily tasks. The DBA is expected to provide weekly reports on DB performance, backup and other defined KPI's.
Off hours support and on call rotation is required.
Other requirements include:
• Hands on experience with Oracle on RAC using ASM (10g/11g).
• Hands experience installing/upgrading oracle RAC using ASM ( preferably 11g).
• Ability to work with the development staff to fully understand their database needs.
• Establishing and documenting Backup Policies and procedures using RMAN
• Hands on experience with RMAN implementation for oracle databases.
• Provide DB reports such as backup reports, DB performance reports on weekly basis.

Position 5: Sr Ab Initio Developer
Role: Developer

The Ab Initio ETL Applications Developer Lead will be a key member of the team within the GFT Application Development team. The candidate must be self-motivated with a strong background in technology with a proven ability to translate business needs into data rich, enabled applications and tools. Technical and intellectual curiosity is required, along with the ability to pick up concepts and techniques quickly in order to execute projects and solutions. Technical debugging and problem resolution are important components of the position. As we work with diverse datasets, deep understanding of data architecture, ETL, and query optimization is required. While this role is primarily as an ETL developer, it will require performance and understanding across all aspects of project lifecycle.
In this role, you will be responsible to:
Code, test, modify, debug, document, and implement Ab Initio Graphs utilizing the GDE environment and EME
Develop scripts to automate the execution of Ab Initio graphs using shell scripts under Unix environment
Develop technical specification documents
Help develop test cases and plans to complete the unit testing and support System testing
Participate in design reviews / code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.
Participate in unit testing and integration testing
Help develop code migration strategies from one environment to the other
Assume ownership and accountability for the assigned deliverables thru all phases of the development lifecycle
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Must have strong demonstrated track record in Ab-Initio coding of medium to large scale ETL applications
Broad-based cross-functional IT experience in application design and development is essential in this role using Ab-Initio ETL toolset
Must have 5 - 8 years of experience in the design and delivery of ETL solutions and input applications and building out of components using Ab-Initio
Must have proven track record in implementation and delivery of ETL application delivery
Experience using Ab-Initio BRE, Continuous Flow a strong plus
Experience in UNIX and/or AIX operating environment is required
Experience in Java/J2EE development a plus
Exposure to Oracle Exidata a plus
