Job Title:         SAP Lead Technical Consultant and Design & Performance Reviewer

Location:         Washington DC.

Duration:         12 Months

Technical/Functional Skills        :          

          Experience in reviewing the design and performance of SAP custom applications  having millions of line of code and suggest improvements

          Hands on experience in analysis, design and development of SAP custom modules and interface programs with ABAP/4.

          Experience in SAP ABAP OO design and development

          Hands on experience in performance optimization of SAP Java Webdynpro and ABAP applications

          SAP ABAP skills like parallel processing, buffering, internal tables, SQL data processing, etc., on application performance highly desirable.

          Strong hands on experience in using performance analysis tools, such as code inspector

          Run-time analysis, SQL trace, single record statistics, workload monitoring, DB performance monitoring and other performance monitoring and statistics tools.

 

Experience Required        7+ yrs of relevant experience

Roles & Responsibilities   :Responsibilities

 

The candidate should be a self-starter and capable of driving a team of onsite and offshore consultants to meet high standards of quality. Should be able to communicate with primary stakeholders and the Project Team, and be able to deliver work products defined as part of the scope of work.

 

Scope of WorK

The scope of work of the project is to study the overall design and performance of online screens and critical batch processes for a custom built suite of SAP applications using SAP ABAP and Net Weaver technology (Enterprise Portal - Netweaver 7.01) and provide recommendation for performance improvements.  The combined applications have about 5 million lines of custom code and approximately 1000 custom tables in SAP.  The study has to be undertaken at the client location in Washington DC and have to be completed within a 4-6 week period.

           

Deliverables

1.         Perform a thorough review of the overall design and the code supporting online screens developed in the SAP R/3 & Netweaver (Java WebDynpro) integrated environment and optimization of critical batch processes, including but not limited to the following areas:

a)         Java Webdynpro Components and RFCs related to the online screens

b)        SAP Enterprise Portal Integration

c)         Memory, session handling and locking

d)        Database/Query Optimization

2.         Produce a specific set of recommendations (design improvements and code optimization) to improve the performance and scalability of the application.

3.         Estimate duration, sequence and cost of implementing the above recommendations.

          Ability to communicate well, both verbal and written.

          Superior team skills, ability and willingness to propose creative and optimal solutions.

 

Education     :           Minimum B.S / Masters in Software Engineering
