Description:
Skills Required:
- Experience in data modeling, ETL development (Data Factory, Talend, etc.), data warehousing
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets
- Experience with a Data Warehouse technology (Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Teradata, Redshift, etc.)
- Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g. C#, Java, C++, Python)
- Experience processing large amounts of data, in various formats and modes.
- Experience processing files in various image, audio and video media formats
- Exposure and knowledge of Security, encryption and Data Governance
- Experience working with relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
- Moderate knowledge of cloud services such as Azure and AWS
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
- Proven track record of delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
- Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- Experience (3+ years) as a Data Engineer or related specialty (e.g., Software Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Scientist, Business Analyst) with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets
- Experience building business intelligence tools utilizing PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Experience and skills with MS Office, including Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience with Hadoop or other "big data" systems and services (preferred)
- Strong understanding of all stages in a project lifecycle and delivery approaches
