The SAS BI Lead position requires a seasoned manager/lead who has extensive experience managing complex BI projects that interface with a variety of tools/inputs.  The candidate will be directly responsible for the administration, maintenance and development of the SAS-EBI BI tool and will work with his/her team to support the tool.  The candidate's team will also be responsible for utilizing the tool to meet the needs of the customer/user community.  The candidate will also manage other ETL/BI development projects and must possess excellent organization, project management, leadership and customer service and support skills.

 

Qualifications:

- Experience with administering/managing the operations, maintenance and development for the SAS-EBI BI tool.

 

- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL and full life cycle development; technical proficiency with Informatica a plus.

 

- Ability to manage the day to day operations and maintenance activities and also guide the team to achieve the future vision of the customer.

 

- Must be able to anticipate customer needs for status, reporting, etc. and respond as appropriate.

 

- Proven leadership managing complex development projects that utilize ETL and BI technologies.

 

- Ability to manage a team on projects with aggressive timelines; must be able to mentor, coach and counsel employees as appropriate and required.

 

- Ability to articulate project status, attend stakeholder meetings, and track project status and progress via Microsoft Project.

 

- In the event of issues, able to troubleshoot and work with the team to perform exhaustive Root Cause Analysis.

 

- Excellent written and communication skills.

 

 

Educational Requirements

• Master's Degree in computer science or related field is required 

• Six (6) years of directly related professional experience or a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of experience may be substituted for the Master's Degree requirement
