Ensure reporting needs have been assessed and addressed through thorough inquiry and discovery.
Ability to DEFINE REPORTING STRATEGY and MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Interacts with business clients to define, analyze, and deliver customer requirements.
Responsible for understanding business/user requirements and translating those requirements into appropriately designed solutions
Research reporting problems and defects as identified by QA, customers, etc.; identify appropriate solutions.
Represents the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical problems associated with specific projects.
Understanding of OBIEE tools such as BI Answers and BI Publisher.
Works closely with technical shared service teams to deliver solution in line with corporate IT standards.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years BI related experience with 3+ years experience developing and delivering solutions using OBIEE.
Candidates must possess strong technical skills including;
o Oracle Financials including procurement spend, operations management, and supply chain.
o Understanding of how reporting requirements align with data warehouse solution.
o Understanding of accounting and financial business processes
o Data and database analysis, design, development and architecture
o Reports requirements gathering and documentation experience
Candidates must have the ability to:
o Understand the functional capabilities of the Oracle system and translate the business requirements into functional requirements.
o Quickly grasp new concepts and methods
o Work with a cross-functional team towards a common objective
o Lead effective meetings, including user design review sessions and stakeholder review meetings
o Familiarity with integration to legacy reporting systems including Cognos, SAS, and Focus.
Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills, strong problem solving skills with the ability to drive the process and solution.
Desired Skills:
OBIEE
Understanding of BI Answers and BI Publisher
General knowledge of Informatica or other ETL tools
Knowledge of Business Planning (i.e. i2)
