Description:
Work in a team with several developers, business analysts and a PM, focused on transactional .NET application development projects. Involves full life cycle development and application and data architecture. Key Project deliverable is a maintenance application to enter rules for product naming, configuration, pricing and commissioning. Responsibilities primarily involve iterative UI development, specification and design of WCF objects for business logic and data access, use case coding and testing, and daily interaction with end users and team members.
Technical platform: client and web based .Net applications using WCF services, client interface, business logic, and data access layers (3-tier design). Application/user interface is Windows Click Once client app, the data storage uses an Oracle 10G database. Development is performed using Visual Studio 2008/2010. Project environment is Agile/Scrum, including iterative builds, peer code reviews, and regular end user engagement. Deployment methodology includes full cycle development-requirements definition, architecture, design and development, unit and integration testing.
Primary responsibility is software development and testing of user interface applications using 3rd party controls. Additional responsibilities include participation in project time/task estimation, code and architecture reviews, documentation of system architecture and an integral role in the key phases of the development life-cycle (architecture, coding, acceptance testing, installation, turnover to support, etc.). Successful candidate must show strong analysis and design skills, and hands on development of front end user interface applications. Candidate will be expected to communicate regularly with internal and external customers to gather feedback on deliverables, and produce quick turnaround on assigned changes.
Required Experience and Knowledge (list-order by priority):

§ *VB.NET (3.5 Framework)
§ *Winforms (Click Once applications, client applications)
§ *Telerik Controls or 3rd party controls is highly desired
§ *WCF/Web Services
§ *Visual Studio 2008 or higher
