Location: Redwood City, CA

Job Description - Verification Engineer, Android BSP

Position description:

 

1. Design and implement Android BSP and platform software verification test cases and methodologies

2. Collaboration with software developers and project managers to ensure full verification coverage of platform software in development

3. Design and implement automation test scripts to enhance test coverage and overall test cycle

4. Execution of test cases and automation test scripts and generate verification reports in effective communication methods - e.g. verbal, e-mail, wiki, documentation.

5. Participate RCA (Root Cause Analysis) activities to reproduce and triage the platform software issues

 

Responsibilities:

1. Effectively and efficiently design and implement BSP and platform software verification test cases

2. Effectively apply various test methodologies and domain knowledge to make sure 100% test coverage of the platform software verification

3. Creatively devise automation test methodologies to enhance test coverage and verification cycle

4. Ensure the communication and report  in verbal and written form are effective, timely, clear and appropriate with the mutual respect and team spirit in full consideration.

5. Ensure full compliance to the organization's verification process at the same time proactively proposing and participating in defining innovative and effective way of working.

 

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science or equivalent required; preferably Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics Engineering

2. 7+ years of relevant engineering experience is required

3. 3+ years of software development experience in Java, C or C++ required

4. 3+ years of development experience of test suites and test documentation required; development experience of automated test suite is a major plus

5. 2+ years of software verification project leading experience is a major plus

6. Experience with Android mobile operating systems and/or mobile platform software is a major plus

7. Experience from SCRUM, test driven development or continuous integration is a strong plus

8. Experience of GIT as version control system and Gerrit is a strong plus

9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

10. Ubuntu Linux knowledge is a plus
