TIBCO Consultant/Developer - $55 per hr.
Main Job Function/Purpose:
TIBCO Consultant is the overall TIBCO implementation specialist. TIBCO Consultant is responsible for installing, configuring, developing, integrating, testing and deploying TIBCO solutions for customers. TIBCO Consultant assists Project Architect in requirements analysis and design and is capable of mentoring customer resources on TIBCO products and processes, as necessary. Consultant participates in presales activities as needed, when available. Consultant will be initially assigned as a member of the TIBCO ActiveSpaces Transactions Professional Services team.
Profile:
• Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science or engineering
• Demonstrated experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Object-Oriented technology expertise
• Demonstrable/documented project implementation experience
• Experience with high-performance distributed transaction processing applications (credit card processing, trading platforms)
• Strong Java experience and additional working knowledge of other programming languages (such as C/C++), databases (Oracle or Sybase), and web technologies such as JavaScript/PHP
• UNIX experience (Solaris, HP-UX, or Linux)
• Application Server and distributed transactional systems experience
• Financial services or card payment industry experience desired
• Previous System Integrator / "Big 5" experience a plus
Required skills and experience:
• Java development/programming (minimum 3 years). (An alternative OO programming language may be substituted, under some circumstances.)
• Participation in, at least, one complete software development project lifecycle
• Understanding of transactional programming
• Understanding of distributed programming
• Performance tuning skills
• UNIX development platform experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel on a need basis.
TIBCO Architect - $80 per hr
• BA/BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent); MS desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years experience (includes software development, design):
o Minimum 2 years experience leading the analysis and design of EAI architecture
o Implementing medium- to large-scale EAI applications in production; excellent understanding of the issues involved
o Developing integration solutions (TIBCO preferred however experience with other products is helpful)
o Development methodologies including UML
o Systems Management software
• Background in vertical industries such as financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, insurance, government, logistics, and /or high-tech manufacturing.
• Knowledge of programming languages:
o C, C++, Java (strong Java knowledge is preferred)
o J2EE or .NET experience preferred.
o XML technologies (e.g. XSD, XPATH, XSLT)
• Demonstrated proficiency in messaging technologies (especially JMS)
• Strong working knowledge of UNIX, LINUX and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with:
o application servers, EJBs, JSP and Servlets
o OS/390 and AS/400
o common data models such as OAG
o SOA and Web Services concepts
• Proficient in installation, configuration, and implementation of SOA, BPM, and Business Optimization product suites
• Understanding of network design and operation, and performance tuning
• System performance analysis and capacity planning
• Should be able to independently develop architecture for small and medium size projects
o Ability to lead teams to create logical data models and map data elements from one system to another.
o Solid understanding of OO design and development.
• Ability to identify, define and build new business opportunities
o Must be able to function as a team leader, providing direction to less senior members of the development team.
o Strong client facing skills – presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communications
o Strong problem identification and problem solving skills
o Must have the ability to structure deliverables to maximize reuse and productization where applicable
o Ability to participate in the development of project plans including estimates for the entire life cycle of the project
Must have the ability to travel as needed, up to 80%.
Lead/Project Manager, PSG - $75 per hr all inclusive
Responsibilities:
• Be actively involved in a broad spectrum of activities including practice development, team participation, and relationship building.
• Be exceptionally knowledgeable about TIBCO products, their supporting technologies, and their product direction.
• Constantly strive to expand his/her scope of knowledge to additional products. This includes staying abreast of new product features and supporting technologies for those products that you support.
• Possess a strong service orientation and finds challenge in problem solving complex situations.
• Effectively communicate mutually agreed upon expectations.
• Use good judgment when prioritizing goals.
• Adapt to changing goals is constant but maintaining appropriate priorities in this climate is important.
• Be willing to travel about 85% of the time
• Communicate challenges or risks pro-actively and appropriately.
• Identify problems with recommendations for appropriate potential solutions in a wide variety of circumstances.
• Often function as the primary technology contact, communicating frequently about schedules, deliverables, and risk.
• Participate in hiring process, team assignments, and cross-training.
• Assist in identifying project requirements, strategies and schedules in support of project/initiatives analysis and prioritization.
• Define project standards and ensure their use.
• Perform complex event-driven infrastructure implementations.
• Identify and apply appropriate tools and techniques in support of system development life cycle.
• Identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions for companies in a wide variety of circumstances.
• Give clear direction or demonstrations with reasons or rationale.
• Recognize accomplishments, provide feedback of other members of the team.
• Assist in the definition of work objectives and desired outcomes to technical team.
Qualifications
• Ability to make appropriate project-level scoping and prioritization decisions.
• Ability to interact with project-level customer management.
• One year of hands on relevant TIBCO technology experience)
• The ability to become certified in the installation, configuration and implementation of BusinessWorks, Hawk, ActiveDatabase Adapter, and File Adapter.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the Windows platform
• Demonstrated proficiency with all programming languages "built into" TIBCO products, including, but not limited to XPATH and XML
• Demonstrated proficiency in JMS, EJB, SQL, JAVA, XML, and HTML
• Strong working knowledge of UNIX and NT operating systems.
• Analysis and design skills of moderate complexity
• Distributed, event-driven computing
• Familiarity with iterative development life cycle and methodology
• Front-end design and development
• Eventual certification in the installation, configuration and implementation of AE suite of products including BusinessWorks, InConcert as well as a solid working knowledge of the PortalBuilder and B2B solutions
• Familiarity with application servers, EJBs, JSP and Servlets
• Familiarity with .NET and Web Services concepts
• Understanding of Network design and operation and performance tuning
• Experience with Systems Management software
• Solid background in system performance analysis and capacity planning
