Required Skills:
7+ years of hands-on Oracle DB and associated Oracle tools administration
Experience in Oracle database versions 10g and 11g
Experience in building complete, functional Oracle environments including ASM storage configuration
Experience in DB capacity planning
Solid knowledge in DB performance tuning and monitoring using OEM Grid Control.
Experience in DB backup and data archive using RMAN
Experience in supporting 24X7 operations
Experience in collaborating with developers to design DB tables and structures
Good understanding of Unix OS (Solaris Sparc) ***THIS IS A MUST****
Good understanding of Unix OS (Solaris/X86 Intel) ***THIS IS A MUST****
Experience in the installation and setup of Oracle software including OEM, ASM, RMAN and other tools including Putty and Toad.
Experience with 3rd party software products Algorithmics and Golden Source preferable.
Experience working with Oracle Support (Metalink) for support and problem resolution.
Design and implement an end to end testing approach.
Installation and maintenance of the Algorithmics and Golden Source products including testing & installation of application updates, patches and code releases.**NICE TO HAVE**
Strong understanding of PL*SQL/SQL statements & structures.
