SQL Server Developer (Need Locals or who can fly at their own cost for in-person)

Location : Mountain View, CA

Start : ASAP.

Duration : 6months contract.

Rate : DOE

 

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

•           Develop new and maintain existing data models and database schema following appropriate normalization rules.

•           Evaluate/Analyze database code for optimum performance.

•           Work with Product Management team to understand requirements.

•           Work with Operations team to keep internal databases tuned.

•           Maintain/Upgrade internal databases.

•           Create and maintain database scripts for installations and upgrades.

Skills & Qualifications:

•           BS degree in Computer Science (MS preferred).

•           Minimum of 8-10 years of experience designing enterprise class databases in MS SQL Server. Experience with Oracle is a plus.

•           Strong experience working with large-scale OLTP and OLAP databases.

•           Strong understanding of relational data modeling concepts, dimensional data modeling preferred as well.

•           Experience using industry standard data modeling tools, ErWin preferred.

•           Solid experience developing database level programming using stored procedures, triggers and functions.  Knowledge of Transact-SQL is a must.

•           Good understanding of internal data organization, including file storage, segments, data blocks in SQL Server.

•           Good knowledge of database configuration parameters for SQL Server.

•           Experience working with data warehouses, datamarts and ETL of large volume of data is preferred.

•           Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•           Experience in developing enterprise class applications in C# and .NET technologies is preferred.
