Responsibilities:
* Provides design guidance to develop efficient and optimized SQLServer database objects as well as communication with external SQLServer Database features
* Works closely with other Architects, Senior Developers, Testers and Performance Engineering locally and remotely, to develop internal frameworks to support SQL Server database access.
* Capable of working on Customer related application issues including performance through internal support organization. In some cases, this may include traveling to Customer sites.
* Pro-actively reviews the application and researches areas of improvements from performance, maintainability and supportability perspective
* Documents and shares performance tuning recommendations for the field and customers
* Researches new SQL Server Features and recommends the features that would be beneficial for the application. This includes prototyping, presenting and supporting Engineering in implementation of these features
* Leads design meetings with Senior Engineers to ensure the requirement is addressed in an efficient manner from SQL ServerDatabase perspective
* Ability to present application Data Model and Access to external sources
* Fluent in data modeling to support and maintain the current data model as well as identify areas for optimization
* Familiar with Erwin Data Modeling tools
* Comfortable working in cross-functional teams in a highly transparent organization, with aggressive timelines and a drive for quality
* Leads by example in developing well-tested, reusable code; Regularly joining different teams to take on development tasks
* Experience developing automated database scripts
* Shares knowledge with other Architects and Developers through training and pairing
Requirements:
* Strong SQL Server Database SQL skills
* Extensive experience with SQL Server Database Features
* Experience using Agile vs. traditional (Waterfall) approaches in releasing high-value products
* The ideal candidate will have an extensive background of Microsoft *SQL Server in a decision supporting environment. Passion for optimizing and efficiently leveraging SQL Server Database resources and features.
* 6+ years experience with large-scale database systems
* 5+ years experience in using large scale relational database in a production environment
* 3+ years experience in agile software development methodologies is heavily preferred
* Bachelor's Degree in Math, Computer Science or Engineering
* Knowledge of Marketing Automation market space preferred
* Web Based development skills preferred
