Responsibilities:
The .Net Architect/Platform Leader architects and designs highly-visible, strategic web-based software development projects in a complex and evolving technical and business environment.
The Software Architect / Platform Leader is also responsible for leading and mentoring developers, and coordinating activities with the development team.
The Software Architect participates in all phases of the SDLC and helps determine how best technology can be applied to meet business needs
Application of analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and delivery problems.
Help develop project plans including estimates for the entire life cycle of the project.
Analysis and technical design of new software systems/solutions
Contribute to the overall system architecture
Create design documents (UML, etc.)
Design, develop and manage reusable services/components/design patterns
Work with development team, Database Administrators, Data Architects, etc. do develop effective, efficient software solutions.
Contribute heavily to documentation of production system.
Write technical designs according to standard templates, using use cases, UML diagrams, etc.
Contribute to the design of database schemas, interfaces, etc.
Conduct group reviews technical specs, documents, documents, code, etc.
Required skills and experience:
Strong experience with Contract First Web Services Development XML Schema (XSD)
Strong experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design
6 years of solid .NET development experience with large systems
Substantial experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
Solid experience with SOA based development
Expert level experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML)
Strong experience and understanding of the software development lifecycle design and
implementation
Really strong written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent); MS desirable
Expert architecture, design, & implementation skills in the following areas: C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, SOA, and web based design and development
Adobe Flex and Flex Builder experience a plus
High degree of understanding in security, scalability, flexibility, maintainability, and reliability
Experience leading analysis, design and architecture of enterprise platforms.
Architect experience with multi-tier, highly available, scalable, performance-oriented geographically distributed environments.
Experience with software version control/configuration management tools.
Experienced leading development teams
Ability to work effectively as a team member, across project teams, and independently
