Role: Android Developer with Java developer background

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Duration: 12+ months

Rate: Open

Required Skills:

1. webkit ( the browser enginer used in all mobile browsers - Safari, Android. This is open source)

2. HTML5 ( using canvas features )

3. javascript 

4. phonegap , phone gap, sencha touch, appcelerator ( these are mobile plug-in software that would expose mobile capabilities through a browser. so a web developer can show map in his browser by calling the GPS APIs . 

5. CSS3 ( presentation of the web page )

6. JSON ( data transfer protocol between the web page and the web server )

7. REST / SOAP ( Architecture style in which data exchange is designed )

8. Mobile web ( all of the above expertise can be called as mobile web architect).

9. Responsive web design ( implies design for the mobile first and then use certain concept to run the same web page in the larger screens like desktop). This is a nice additional skill to have.

 

 

We are looking for that candidate who is strong in the mobile web design and architecture.

If some one has developed applications using HTML5 for mobile browsers they will have expertise mobile web.
