Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Applications & Development or Development Manager, this position manages critical ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and SQL Database queries using Microsoft SQL 2008 and 2012 supporting multiple database solutions in both Production and Development environments.
The SQL/ETL Developer serves as liaison with staff regarding ETL processes and database queries; manages maintenance and optimization of these functions; coordinates support and troubleshooting; liaisons with DBA; and ensures effective utilization of these solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
ETL Development & SQL Support:
· Designs, develops and maintains ETL processes using SSIS, both incoming and outgoing.
· Develops code and processes to utilize vendor APIs and data feeds to access and acquire data from third party providers.
· Develops SQL queries to select and extract data from SQL databases.
· Optimizes SQL queries to improve performance.
· Designs, develops and maintains SQL stored procedures and triggers.
· Uses SSRS to design and develop reports.
· Develops code and processes for EDI solutions.
· Consults with business owners and analysts to design and implement Business Rules for data processing.
· Performs data cleansing and de-duping.
· Ensures quality of data for their assigned projects.
· Creates QA plans and scripts.
· Documents Business Rules and SQL Code.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
· 4 – 5 years Microsoft SQL 2008 development and support experience.
· 3 – 5 years of ETL development and troubleshooting experience.
· Expertise in performance monitoring and tuning.
· Experience in handling large datasets.
· Strong knowledge in SSIS Script development in VB.NET.
· Expertise in using SSRS for report development.
· Expertise in using and managing SQL Analysis Services.
