Broadcasting Solution Architect
Location -New York, NY
Start –Immediate
Duration -6 Months
Rate: $65/hr C2C/1099 MAX
Candidate will have to undergo drug/background test upon selection
Job Description
• This role is the owner of the solution architecture and the central co-ordination point for all technical decisions to be made during a project.
• To be a thought leader and personal centre of excellence in technology. By doing so, to gain the respect of senior project managers, technology suppliers and stakeholders both within Atos and externally.
• Reports to and takes direction from the Project Director
• Provide lead on technical integration/interoperability workstream
• Supports Technical PMs in delivery of the workstream technical solutions
Knowledge
• Broad knowledge of undertaking projects in broadcast environments over several years to a range of customer areas.
• Experience in dealing with customers with tact and diplomacy using demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills.
• Well-developed negotiating skills.
• Effective interpersonal, management and communication skills (both oral and written),
• Conversant with issues that are facing the broadcast industry, including new technology.
• Awareness of building, wiring, air conditioning and acoustic techniques appropriate to broadcast applications.
• Demonstrable experience in the management of internal staff and external contractors
Capabilities
• Must be prepared to Travel.
• Understand broadcast marketplace
• Ability to paint a vision for customers
• Advanced skill level in a wide range of broadcast technologies
• Communication and negotiation
• Ability to lead technical discussions which explain the options available to customers and get agreement on the method of implementing the solution for the customer by setting their expectation at the correct level.
• Excellent organizational skills (time management, administration, etc).
• Excellent contributor to project teams.
• Self starter and be willing to take initiative in problem identification and solution provision.
• Demonstrate thought leadership in their specialist field.
Experience
• Graduate in relevant subject, or have relevant industry experience
• Min 5 years experience in the relevant roles
• Knowledge of technology and or sector business and the fundamentals necessary to influence the way that Customers use technology
• Taken key role in 2 large, demanding projects as solution architect.
• Broad technical and process/soft skills and knowledge
• Experienced in working with Partners, Customers
